Η αρχιτεκτονική βασίζεται εξ ολοκλήρου σε φυσικά υλικά του νησιού.

Το υπόσκαφο σπίτι mARTrona είναι ένα μοναδικό παραδοσιακό σπίτι. Έχει ανακαινιστεί πρόσφατα από ντόπιους τεχνίτες που γνωρίζουν καλά τα μυστικά του ηφαιστειακού εδάφους του νησιού με σεβασμό στην κυκλαδίτικη αρχιτεκτονική.

Η οικογενειακή επιχείρηση βασίζεται σε ένα κτίριο 300 ετών ανάμεσα στα ιστορικά υπόσκαφα σπίτια του παραδοσιακού οικισμού.Ιδανικό για όποιον θέλει απλά στοιχεία, ήρεμο ζωντανό στυλ Σαντορίνης. Ένας τρόπος ζωής που ορίζεται από ελαφρότητα, απλότητα και ελευθερία.

Το όνομα του σπιτιού είναι προς τιμήν της τοπικής εκκλησίας της Αγίας Ματρώνας, που χτίστηκε το 1859, διαθέτει ένα εντυπωσιακό καμπαναριό και έναν ψηλό φοίνικα που μαγεύει την αυλή του. Η οικογένειά μας έχει πάντα μια ιδιαίτερη επαφή με την εκκλησία.

Το σπίτι έχει μεγάλο ενιαίο χώρο που περιλαμβάνει πλήρως εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα για την προετοιμασία φαγητού*. Κλιματισμό, καναπέ-κρεβάτι, τηλεόραση, απεριόριστο δωρεάν WIFI, μπάνιο με ντουζιέρα** και ένα κρεβάτι QUEEN SIZE από πέτρα και στρώμα COCOMAT.

This place is very special! Tastefully decorated & surprisingly spacious, it feels very cosy & comfortable. An authentic experience in a traditional village only a short walk or drive away from the tourist hustle of Oia- peaceful but also very convenient. There are a few lovely tavernas and a well-stocked shop open from 8.30-23.30pm within a few minutes walk from the cave. The pretty walkways and terraced houses were delightful to wander thru. Incredible hike from there. The host family was lovely! Any issues we had were sorted cheerfully & promptly. The grandmother lives in the cave next door and is so friendly, funny and helpful - we loved her! I think she had much to do with the pristine cleanliness of the place. The only issue was the cave doesn’t have much ventilation so it gets very humid. The dehumidifier helped a lot but if you are sensitive you may want to check with the hosts about the humidity at the time of year you are going- we were there off season when it is wetter.

This mARTrona cave house was magical, authentic & modern. Finikia is a beautiful traditional village and very close walking distance to Oia without the crowds & tourism. My host was very kind & helpful and went out of his way to ensure I was happy and comfortable, it felt like meeting a new friend. The recommendations given took my trip to the next level in beauty & experience. I truly felt the authentic Greek hospitality being here! Our experience at Vissilis and Artemis' cave house was exceptional. Vissilis was an excellent host. Proactive, responsive, kind and caring. The home was in excellent shape, clean, well taken care of and a close walk to Oia and bus stop to explore the rest of the island. Un superbe séjour à proximité de oia ☺En premier lieu je dirais la rencontre inoubliable avec Artemis et sa famille, vassili, leurs enfants mais aussi nos voisins « yaya » la mamie et son mari … on se sent comme à la maison en famille ! Традиционный стильный дом с нереальными хозяевами ☺Традиционный дом в пещере, бок о бок с местными жителями — необычный опыт! Очень комфортный дом, все чистое, уютное. Быстрый интернет, кухня со всем необходимым и несколькими видами кофе! Нереально удобная кровать и 100500 подушек. Много исторических мелочей и интересных аксессуаров. Артемис встретила нас как старых друзей, даже познакомила с мамой, живущей по соседству. Очень приятно! На расстоянии 100 метров целых 3 классных таверны. Perfect and authentic stay next to Oía ☺The place is in a lovely little town néxt to Oía, so going there will takes you only 15 minutes. The accommodation is a cave very well decorated and with a very comfy bed!!! Artemis and Vassilis put a lot of effort on making you feel really welcome - they even prepared a little handwritten guide with all the things we must see in Santorini and prepared fresh fruits for us on the arrival!! Un hébergement typique à deux pas d’un site exceptionnel ☺Notre séjour à la Cave mARTrona a été parfait. Situé à deux pas de points de vue exceptionnels sur OIa, L’hébergement bénéficie d’un cadre idyllique et typique. A l’écart de l’activité touristique, il est situé au sein d’un village typique, a proximité d’une supérette bien pratique et des quelques très bons restaurants (meze meze notamment). Les propriétaires très accueillants sont disponibles pour toutes les requêtes. La grand mère de la famille, en voisine,  est particulièrement accueillante et sympathique. We loved our stay here. Fantastic host and fantastic service. Very helpful and it felt like home. They welcomed us with open arms. We came as strangers and left as family. Our son played with the host daughter who was just adorable. Our stay was so pleasant and we were so sad to leave. The house is about a 12-15 minute walk to Oia. This place is amazing. Is very close to Oia but more affordable. You can go in Oia by foot, it takes around 20 minutes. The house has everything that you need, looks exactly like in the photos. The hosts are very friendly, hospitable and professional.
